InClix is a division of Roland that was formed to solve the business problems of Roland DGA customers with innovative design software. HEILBrice was engaged to help craft the first product: a SaaS platform that makes creating digital signs and, eventually, videos incredibly easy. After qualitative and quantitative research with the target audience, we created Creative Media Maker from InClix. The system offers easy access to millions of stock photos, an easy-to-use and learn interface and the ability to compose plus save your work from anywhere.
Our particular assignment was to not only design the branding, but to create the “discover, try and buy” portion of the website where potential customers come to learn about the platform, explore its features and sign up for a trial.
We selected a bold graphic style that evoked a sense of creativity that most of the target was hoping to achieve. Many operators, who were not art directors, wound up creating customer art on any number of platforms. However, most knew it wasn’t their forte. We gave them permission to believe that they could easily create better products and actually make money with that part of their business.
As the system was preparing to launch, we realized that we needed to start creating our own examples of the work that our target could create with the platform in order to serve both as templates and as a capability demonstration.
