On behalf of our client, The LA Tourism and Convention Bureau, agency president Jeff Morris travelled all the way to China to meet with ours partners there to help develop campaigns to bring Chinese visitors to Los Angeles.
While there, Jeff participated in meetings in both Beijing and Shanghai, visited the Great Wall, and got to support LA basketball by attending an NBA exhibition game between the Sacramento Kings and the LA Lakers.
And thanks to the trip, HEILBrice has now hired an agency in Beijing to provide valuable international insights and culturally relevant campaigns to encourage citizens of China to come and experience Los Angeles. We are so excited about this international expansion, and thrilled to see the fruit that’s going to come from this partnership.

“It was an honor to travel to Shanghai and Beijing with key Executives of our newest client, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board. Leisure travel from China is anticipated to grow by at least 15% in the coming year – making China the Number one international source for visitor’s to LA. We traveled to meet the LA Tourism Team based in China – and meet with agencies who will be our eyes and ears and creative partners in that market. Los Angeles is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that Los Angeles is READY for this influx of Chinese travelers – with a “China Readiness” program happening here, and a comprehensive advertising effort targeted to FTE’s there.
Bonus: Got to attend two Lakers Exhibition games agains the Golden State Warriors. They LOVE Kobe in China. Even if he’s not playing.”
